Seabrook

Our humble abode for the weekend.

Castaway Cottage.

My BEAUTIFUL family.

My FAVORITE little girl and me.

Daddy and Maddie.

Stairway down to the beach. 91 stairs to be exact (counted by my dad, so I hope that's right) LOL.

We made it down to the beach. Maddie was still learning how to walk in her rain boots.

Heading down the the beach!

John, on one of his many attempts to get the stunt kite in the air.

Grandpa, Grandma and their little girl!

She was in awe of the biggest playground ever!

She loved checking out the kites flying in the air.

Now it's Maddie's turn to fly her princess kite.

Attempting to get the stunt kite in the air. John didn't have much luck.

Running!

She's off and running!

Showing Uncle Kevin her sand dollar. She carried that thing around for FOREVER!

"Look at the kites!"

Mom and Dad stopping to pose for a photo as they head down to the beach.

My beautiful baby girl and I enjoying the beach!

A little dirty, but enjoying every minute of it!

Going for a bike ride with Daddy.

Fun times with Daddy!

1...2...3...JUMP!

Rainy fun at the beach with Grandma.

Our little lady with her elephant backpack.

Heading down to enjoy the beach one last time before we go.

Daddy and his girl. Looks like they are having a very serious conversation. :-)

She's LOVING it!!!

Looks like she is on a mission.

Maddie and Daddy having fun!

"Say what?!"

We all had SOOOOO much fun!

Mom and John riding bikes in the neighborhood.

Getting ready to head back home. Maddie was helping with the cleaning too.

Out for one last stroll with Grandma Jill before we hit the road.

Last weekend our family Mom, Dad, Kevin, John, Madison, and myself went away to the ocean. We stayed in the most wonderful little "neighborhood" in Seabrook. It was the most wonderful time together! Madison absolutely LOVED the ocean. Although it was rainy on Saturday when we were there, we didn't let that stop us from enjoying ourselves. Maddie couldn't get enough of the endless playground the beach and ocean provided. We spent our weekend walking along the beach, riding bikes, flying kites, hot tubbing, and of course eating! :-) We are definitely going to have to make it an annual family tradition to spend the weekend in Seabrook.

Madison Turns 15 Months!

Extreme close-up of our big girl!

My favorite girl and I. I love you more than words can describe Madison Rose.

Hmmmmm....what's inside this bag?! Wonder if they would find me in here?!

Goodness it's been a busy few weeks....thus me not being able to post a current blog when our little lady turned 15 months old. On October 20th, Madison was officially 15 months old. She continues to bring us the most wonderful joy and amaze us with her fantastic personality. She's beginning to say a number of new words - "Dora", "car", "more", "Pa" for grandpa of course - and many more I just can't think of them off the top of my head. Maddie is definitely keeping us busy on a daily basis. She goes, goes, goes from the time she gets up in the morning until she goes down for her afternoon nap. After her nap of refueling she's on a mission again to exhaust her mommy and daddy until she goes to bed at night.

Grandpa has been spoiling her lately when he has come to babysit her and took her on her very first field trip to McDonalds the other day. They decided to bring their lunch home. As soon as Grandpa got the french fries in the car, Maddie quickly gobbled it up, and put her hand out as she asked "more?" They shared a nice lunch together and clearly Madison LOVED those french fries. LOL.

Daddy's little golfer.

Our little golfer, posing with her clubs!

The tongue out must be a pre-game warm up.

Contemplating whether lady golfers wear bows in their hair or not. Hmmmmm.

Which club should I use for this shot?

Putting away her clubs nice and neat.

Getting ready to sink the putt.

Daddy couldn't be more proud of his little girl!! John absolutely loves golfing. At time he eats, breathes, and sleeps for golf. About two weeks ago some friends of our gave Maddie a cute little golf set. For the first few days after receiving the golf set Maddie carried the clubs and ball around ALL over the house. She hasn't quite figured out how to hit the ball with the clubs yet, but I sure it will be coming soon. :-) She has definitely figured out how to hit EVERYTHING else though. LOL.

Go Huskies!!!!!

Maddie posing with her favorite quarterback!

Getting ready to do a cheer! GO HUSKIES!!!

Checking out the score on the game.

Having fun with Lucas.

Giddy-up horsey.

Lucas can be such a silly boy.

So cute reading a story together.

We have kind of made it a little bit of a tradition to watch the Huskies football games with the Strand family. Since the kids play so great together and we all enjoy each others company its just another excuse to get together. Of course everyone has to come dressed for the occasion in Huskies gear. Madison is just the cutest cheerleader ever and Lucas the star quarterback. :-)
