9 Month Check-Up

Getting all weighed in!

Apparently she didn't want to show everyone her weight. LOL

15lbs. 13.5 oz.....always needing to deduct an ounce for the diaper.

Giddy-up horsey! Ready to play after her appointment.

9 Months:
Weight: 15lbs. 13.5oz. (5th percentile)
Height: 28 3/4 inches (87th percentile)
Head circumference: 17 inches (25th percentile)

Yesterday was Madison's 9 month well baby check up. Madison is a beautiful, healthy, and PETITE baby girl. The pediatrician was very happy with everything that Maddie has been learning, doing, and eating. Can this girl eat?!?! She would much rather have "adult" foods than bottles or her pureed foods that I work so hard at making for her. LOL. Lately her favorites have been pears, avocado, yogurt, and peas, peas, peas. She's also continues to be a fan of bananas, tofu, carrots, and pretty much anything else that is put in front of her. I don't think there has been much that she turns her nose up to. LOL.

Maddie enjoys walking with her push toys, chasing the "kitty kitty", and getting into anything and everything that she shouldn't be getting into. She decided she needed to try AJ's food the other day and REALLY loves splashing in his water dish. That has since been moved. :-)

Happy Easter!

Looks like the Easter bunny came for Maddie and Daddy!

Maddie's basket full of goodies.

Happy Easter Madison!

What did the Easter bunny bring??? Definitely a spoiled little girl.

Lucky, lucky girl! And she knows it too!

Hmmmmm.....what's this taste like?!?

Loving the Easter grass. It was EVERYWHERE! LOL.

Checking out all her loot.

Our little Easter bunny.

Beautiful Madison Rose.

My first Easter....and ready to enjoy an Easter meal!

Hanging with Daddy. It's been a long day of Easter fun!

Playing with one of the many new Easter goodies!

The Easter bunny definitely spoiled little miss Madison. We had a really fun-filled day complete with church, multiple Easter baskets, REALLY tasty dinner, Easter egg hunt, and great company. Since Daddy is still pretty down and out from his surgery, Maddie and Mommy met up with Grandma Jill and Grandpa Randy at church this morning. Madison had a WONDERFUL time playing in the nursery with the other children.

After church we headed to Grandma Jill and Grandpa Randy's for more Easter fun! Maddie was surrounded by many Easter gifts. She really enjoyed opening her Easter baskets. As one would guess, she was REALLY into the Easter grass....and it was EVERYWHERE. Love it!

We had a wonderful meal together with Grandma Jill, Grandpa Randy, Uncle "Ke-Ke", Great Granny, Great Grandma, and Great Grandpa. Following dinner we were joined by the rest of the family for dessert and an Easter egg hunt for those under 50. LOL. Great Granny had a wonderful time filling and hiding 86 plastic eggs for those under the age of 50 to search for. Maddie even found her very own camo egg. Way to go Maddie!

Spring is here....or is it?!?!

Gotta have matching mommy and Maddie sandals! :-)

So proud of her shades. She would rather hold them than wear them. LOL.

Checking out the great outdoors. She just LOVES being outside.

Playtime with mommy!

She loved going down the slide with mommy.

Dancing and playing at Grandma Kathy and Grandpa John's.

What a BEAUTIFUL sunny day we had yesterday. Is spring finally here??? Maddie just LOVES being outside and with the nice sunny day we couldn't pass up the opportunity to play outside for a little while. Even though daddy was feeling pretty sore from his surgery on Thursday we took a little stroll to enjoy the sunshine.

We also enjoyed a nice Easter meal with Grandma Kathy, Grandpa John, Uncle Chad, Aunt Sierra, Delaney, Remi, and Kase. Maddie REALLY enjoyed watching the kids run around in search of clues that would lead them to a "golden" egg with a money prize inside.

9 Months Old Already?!?!?!

YEA!!! I'm 9 months old!!

Little miss busy body.

Chasing after AJ. Come here kitty, kitty!

Standing up so tall....although it looks like she's about to lose her pants. LOL!

She couldn't possibly be 9 months old?!?! Guess we have to face the fact that our baby girl is certainly growing up. She's definitely becoming quite the mover and shaker. We are finding out something new about her personality and attitude everyday! Yes....I said attitude. LOL. She's definitely a spit-fire, with moments of temper tantrums, but at the same time she is a sweet, cuddly mommy and daddy's girl.

Since Maddie has been on the move, she has definitely been keeping us on our feet. We've got a busy, busy girl on hand. She LOVES chasing AJ all around the house and even decided that she wanted to try and few nibbles of his food. Looks like the cat dish is now going to have to be moved!

We found that we certainly can't take our eyes off her for even one second. So much for the stationary baby playing on the living room floor. The other day, she was found climbing our stairs. She had gotten up onto the fourth stair in the blink of an eye. When John and I were telling her off and attempting to take he down from the stairs, she turned and looked at us with a big smile and quickly climbed an additional 4 stairs. Apparently she thought it was quite a fun game. We have since put a baby gate at the bottom of the staircase. She now finds it amusing to pull herself up onto the gate and stands there shaking it. LOL. What a personality this little girl has.

Madison continues to LOVE to eat. She's tried a large variety and foods and would much rather feed herself than be fed. What a big girl!

Mmmmmmm, Mmmmmmmm Good!

She literally managed to say "mmmmmmmm" with EVERY bite!

Since Madison is so into feeding herself now days, we've been working on trying to give her new things to be able to feed herself. She has not been the fondest of pureed peas when she has been offered them, but this afternoon she LOVED feeding herself her whole peas for lunch! That's my girl!! Let's start out the healthy eating now.

Maddie has definitely been keeping us running lately. She's s mover and a shaker that's for sure! Dancing to the music she hears and cruising ALL over the house. We've definitely got our hands full with her now. Just yesterday she started crawling up the stairs! When we went to grab her to get her down she moved faster up several more stairs. Immediately after that we put up our first baby gate! So crazy to think how fast time has gone by. Before we know it, we will be celebrating the first birthday of our little lady!

Check Out My Tooth!

Cheesing with the new tooth!

On April 1st, Maddie's first tooth made it's appearance. It's been REALLY tough to actually get a picture of her new "toophers". We were finally able to get one. I know it's an extreme close up and not the greatest of pictures of her, but you get the gist. :-) We think she's working on getting the rest of her teeth in too. EVERYTHING goes into the mouth nowadays. Hope to see more little chompers in there in the near future!

And.......she's off!

She's getting to be such a BIG girl!

For some odd reason, Maddie just REALLY loves my camera case.

Pulling herself up on to everything these days!

Just playing around. She just loves being able to explore and see things from a new perspective.

Within the last two and a half weeks Madison has certainly accomplished a lot in the baby world! She started crawling, waves "hi" and "bye-bye", got her first tooth, and is pulling herself up on things. She continues to be little miss independent often wanting to try and feed herself....which is a mess in and of itself. LOL.

Maddie crawled for the first time in front of Mommy, Grandma Jill, Uncle "Ke-Ke", Great Granny Margaret, Great Auntie Ann, and Cousin Olivia on Monday March 21st, 2011. Daddy was a little upset as to not be there when she took her first crawl, but Maddie soon showed her daddy her skills when we returned home that evening. She was definitely wobbly at first, but has since mastered the skill. Boy can she move!

Madison's first tooth appeared - her bottom right one - on April 1st. She was gnawing on a cold piece of raw celery when she let out a painful cry. Since I believed that she was teething I proceeded to give her some tylenol and as I went to rub the oragel onto her little gums, I felt that little nub of a tooth. It as since continued to pop out more and more over the last few days. Within that same day, she started pulling herself up to a standing position toys, the couch, her crib - pretty much anything she can reach. :-) She has even climbed the first stair of our stair case. Time for a baby gate!

Maddie has definitely managed to come up with a few bumps and bruises since she's been so mobile, but nothing a little TLC can't fix. Let the baby-proofing begin!
